  • Publication type: Article from a collective work

    De l’écriture et des fragments

  • Abstract: Although it is presented as a novel, the reader of Una meditaciòn comes up against a text which constantly blurs the articulation between the events and identity of its characters. Juan Benet affirmed that his novel should be read “line by line, sentence by sentence”. We examine the apparent contradiction between the novel-unity, promised but evaded, and the reality of reading which has to do with decontextualised fragments.
