« Écrire, ma joie profonde ! » Le fragment et l’écriture dans les Carnets d’Albert Camus
- Publication type: Article from a collective work
- Collective work: De l’écriture et des fragments. Fragmentation et sciences humaines
- Author: Geske (Samara Fernanda)
- Abstract: Throughout his literary career (1935-1959), Albert Camus kept exercise books that he filled with notes. These are sometimes linked to the totality of a work in progress or to come, but above all the fragment speaks of a free form of writing. The fragment thus plays a fundamental role because it does not testify to the anguish of being unable to finish, but rather to the joy of always beginning, of writing freely: “Writing, my profound joy!” notes Camus in the Carnets.
