Abstract: This volume includes 544 letters - 340 of which have not previously been published - written or received between 1846 and 1848. They cover a range of events from the scandal of the reception at the Academy to the long stay in Charente, via the candidacy at the 1848 legislative elections. This volume also establishes a number of affecting female epistolary relationships.
