  • Abstract: Ecstasy aims, in the case of Cioran, to transcend the boundaries of the Self and merge with the primordial unity, with the very source of life. This fact is possible only by way of negation, the lucid deconstruction of the separating-narcissistic structure of the Self, whose abolition reveals the unity of things, i.e. that dimension of non-separateness, which the new paradigm of quantum mechanics confirms.
