    . « Écrire à tort et à travers »
  • Author: Dulac (Angéline)
  • Abstract: This study aims to analyse Casanova’s interest in medicine. Through his knowledge of the antagonistic fields of medical science and the occult, Casanova maintained his own health and cured others. This article examines the processes by which he managed to gain the trust of naive subjects and undermine the authority of medical practitioners, in order to facilitate his conquests and quench his thirst for pleasure.
