• Abstract: This article looks at the color black and the way it takes part in the shaping of the work. It considers the variations of meaning the color takes on according to the configurations in which it is embodied, especially when paired with white. Generally considered negative, it can convert to a positive sign, while white takes on a negative value. The interplay between black and other details with which it is correlated sets in motion these bifurcations of meaning.
