• Abstract: We present the rediscovered letters of the correspondence between Paul Claudel and Edouard Herriot (1913-1951), Lyon’s mayor, several times minister, president of the French cabinet, president of the Chamber of Deputies of the Third Republic, then president of the Fourth Republic National Assembly. In spite of all which could part at this time a catholic and a radical-socialist, those letters attest the esteem and reciprocal sympathy between the two personalities.
