- Abstract: We find three kinds of errors in the analysis of the Essais: the error caused by the claim to get the truth; the error caused by the judgement process, the error caused by the recognition of the judgement. However, if we consider the philosophy of Montaigne as art of living, the only error for the author is the lack of faithfulness to himself. For the reader, which considers the Essais like experiences for set his life, the error doesn’t exist.
