Abstract: This book defines the three dimensions of experience which inform Baudelaire's Le Spleen de Paris: aesthetics (art, beauty, sensation, fantasy, and dream), ethics (good and bad, the individual and the community), and the religious (the ultimate reality, the supreme rule of truth, justice, and meaning).
