  • Abstract: The textual history of the Folies and the Tristan novels in verse are the object of a new analysis, which aims to isolate useful elements in the reconstruction of these works’ circulation in the Anglo-French context. Between the end of the twelfth century and the middle of the thirteenth century, the so-called Berne Folie circulated in England as did the Folie of Oxford, and a lost version which served as a model for two short poems which have survived.
