• Abstract: The disconcerting work proceeds from silence. It takes its power, rather than its mute origin, from it. The artist takes back snippets and scarcely audible or visible traces – beyond common language – from the world, and works them into his or her oeuvre. Without this silence, the work cannot communicate the mystery which emerges when humans observe the world.
