Abstract: Janina Hescheles was saved from the Janowski concentration camp in Lwów at the age of twelve. Her memories, which she wrote in the heat of the moment, were published in Poland in 1946 under the title À travers les yeux d’une fille de douze ans. They are translated here into French together with previously unpublished manuscript fragments and a critical commentary.
