Abstract: In the pont-neufs, composed from Biblical texts and in particular from psalms, the two languages, musical and verbal, are there to enhance the divine sublime, located in the silence of rhetoric and semiotic mismatching. Far from signifying deconsecration, they signal a non-rhetorical dimension of the sublime, which they situate in the divine orbit.
